Lenovo Yoga Solar PC
The first of the laptop concepts announced by Lenovo, the Yoga Solar PCis designed to be able to charge receiving rays of sunlight. To do this, it has the outside of its housing, on its lid, with a solar panel with a 24% conversion rate thanks to the technology “rear contact cell”, which displaces the supports and load lines to the rear of the solar cells, which maximizes the active absorption of the light.
In addition, its dynamic solar tracking system constantly measures the current and voltage of the solar panel, working with the energy system that is nourished, as a primary source, of sunlight, to automatically adjust the configuration of the charger to give priority to the sending of the energy collected to the system. This ensures savings to the maximum energy, regardless of light intensity. Even in low light conditions, the panel is able to generate energy, loading the battery when the PC is not in use.
The innovations that it integrates allow its solar panel to absorb and convert a lot of direct sunlight received in 20 minutes to achieve autonomy with which to reproduce an hour of video. In addition, it is a fine and light team, since it has 15 millimeters thick and weighs 1.22 kilos.
