Hey Hackers,

Mitiga Solutions has been nominated in HackerNoon’s annual Startups of The Year awards in New York City, NY.

Read more about us below to understand why we deserve your vote.

Meet Mitiga Solutions

Founded in 2018, Mitiga Solutions provides climate risk intelligence that combines science, AI, and high-performance computing. We help our customers analyse, report, and act on their business exposure to climate risk through our self-serve platform EarthScan™ and our risk models. Our mission: Make the world a more resilient place under a changing climate. Mitiga is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, and backed by Kibo Ventures, Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund, Nationwide Ventures, Telefónica, CREAS Impacto, and Faber.

Milestones and achievements

Back in 2023, Mitiga Solutions raised a €13.25 million (~$14.4 million) Series A funding round to grow usage of our risk modelling tools. The round was led by Kibo Ventures, with Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund, Nationwide Ventures, Faber Ventures, and CREAS Impacto also participating.

In 2024, Mitiga raised an €8M extension to our Series A funding in a round led by Elaia. Mitiga will use the Capital for its European expansion as new regulation mandates the disclosure of climate risk for companies across the EU.

Mitiga’s SaaS platform allows companies to analyse, report and act on their exposure to climate risk. Powered by Mitiga and built on the latest in climate science and data modelling, EarthScan provides insights across 3 climate scenarios and multiple time horizons. It is used by clients in manufacturing, retail, hospitality, real estate and infrastructure investment to gain customised insight into their exposure to extreme weather.

Kibo Ventures, CREAS Impacto and others also invested in the round.

Increasingly, companies throughout the EU feel compelled to understand their individual exposure to these events – particularly on the physical assets they own, operate or invest in.
