Reddit announced a set of moderation and analytical tools for users on Thursday, the most notable of which is a tool that helps users post without breaking subreddit rules.
Called “Post check,” the feature appears as a wand-like icon above the keyboard. Users can click on it after typing their posts to check if their content violates community rules. If the tool flags a violation, users can make modifications to avoid getting the post removed or facing a ban. Reddit will test the feature on iOS and Android first.
Another nifty feature Reddit added on Thursday is “Post Recovery.” If your post is removed from a subreddit, Reddit will suggest alternate communities where it could be accepted.
Reddit will also begin displaying the criteria required for posting in select subreddits, such as account age or karma. If you’re ineligible, the platform will provide reasons and suggestions. “This helps avoid confusion and increases the number of successful posts,” Reddit says.
Furthermore, Reddit will also begin suggesting the most relevant communities for your posts. While creating a post, Reddit will update the “Select a Community” button with its suggestions. This will help users find the right audience for their content, Reddit says.

In addition to content moderation tools, Reddit added an analytical tool to help users “understand what works and improve their future posts.” Called “Post Insights,” the tool provides users with data on views, upvotes, shares, and more. Multiple social networking platforms, such as X and LinkedIn, have had similar features for years.
Excluding “Post check,” all other features are now available for users on both desktop and mobile.
