Five years after the first adventures of Sam Porter Bridges, it will be high time to discover the rest. More than two years after his announcement during the Game Awards 2022, Hideo Kojima made an appointment to his fans at the Sxsw of Autsin, Texas, for a panel in which he unveiled a new trailer of 10 minutes, very beautiful, which made it possible to lift the veil on the release date of the game, fixed on June 26, 2025, exclusively on PS5.

Perhaps an index on the release date of Death Stranding 2 had been there, from the start, in its title. This second opus will take us “On the Beach” (on the beach). And what could be better than going out from the start of the summer for this? See you on June 26, 2025 exclusively on PS5 to discover the rest of the adventures of Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The players who will opt for the collector’s edition of the game will have the right to two days of early access, from June 24.
In the first opus of Death Stranding, in 2019, the idea was to “connect the world”. Finally, this sequel seems to want to question us to know if it was really a good idea, or not:
Embark on an inspiring human connection mission beyond UCA. Sam, accompanied by his companions, undertakes a new trip to save humanity from extinction. Join them while they are going through a world assaulted by enemies from another world, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected? Step by step, the legendary creator of Hideo Kojima games changes the world once again.
This new trailer reveals to us, once again from sublime environments and all the beauty of the Decima graphic engine which promises to offer us breathtaking visuals. We also notice a large number of references to Metal Gear Solid as the character embodied by actor Luca Marinelli who clearly looked in the Solid Snake, or the gigantic monster Magellan Man who reminds us of Metal Gear Rex.
In parallel with the trailer, they are no less than Three editions which were announced. Edition standard that will cost 69,99 euros, edition Digital Deluxe will cost 79,99 euros and edition Collectorwith early access will be offered to 229,99 euros. Pre -orders will start on March 17.
