Framework Computer has been working on bringing the Framework 12 to market as a new, smaller and convertible laptop while retaining the upgradeable aspects that users have come to love from the company. Today the company announced the pre-orders are open and the first Framework Laptop 12 devices will be shipping in June.
The Framework Laptop 12 DIY Edition starts at €569 / £499 / $719 CAD or for the pre-built versions the pricing starts at €849 / £749 / $1,079 CAD. You will notice no USD pricing and that’s due to temporarily not shipping to the United States due to the ongoing tariff situation. The US tariff situation will hopefully be resolved soon but as a result no pre-orders are available today for US customers.
The Framework Laptop 12 has a 1920 x 1200 display, options of Intel Core i3-1315U or Core i5-1334U Raptor Lake-U SoCs, a single SO-DIMM slot for up to 48GB DDR5-5200 memory, and the expansion module system similar to the other Framework laptop models.
