Chain ‘cheaper than Walmart’ to open 21 stores – more outlets will be on list

A GROCERY chain hailed for its low prices is set to expand its store portfolio by opening more than 20 new locations. 

And, the expansion will not stop there as more locations could be announced over the course of the year.

Soon, there will be more than 600 Trader Joe’s stores across the US as 21 new sites are set to open.

Shoppers in a slew of states, including Washington DC, Alabama, California, Louisiana, New York, and Pennsylvania will be treated to new stores.

Stores in Tennessee and Washington have already opened. 

One location in Murfreesboro opened on April 10, and a new store in Seattle opened its doors to the public on April 11.

Trader Joe’s bosses have been tight-lipped on when the stores will be open.

Shoppers are being kept on edge, as chiefs only say new locations are “coming soon.”

New locations will be added to the retailer’s website.

Trader Joe’s shoppers flock to the grocery chain for its low prices. 

One fan claimed the grocery store chain is one thousand times better than Walmart. 

Others have praised the retailer after scoring significant savings. 

“Trader Joe’s is cheaper than Walmart,” a shopper boasted on X.

“I saved $40 a week switching. 

“TJ all the way every day now, well once a month.”

Trader Joe’s was inundated with praise over its relatively cheap cartons of eggs.

Shoppers were restricted to just one carton in light of the egg shortage. 

Fans have divulged into the reasons why Trader Joe’s has the advantage over its competitors.

The company doesn’t stock named brands, while bosses try to keep costs down by stocking some items in boxes.

Trader Joe’s doesn’t run promo or coupon deals, and stores are relatively small, per Taste of Home. 

There are only a handful of states where Trader Joe’s doesn’t have a presence. 

These include states such as Hawaii, Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming and West Virginia.
