After being projected as a top pick for months, no NFL team pulled the trigger on Sanders.

It was a rough night for Sanders, who sat in waiting at his Texas draft party in hopes of hearing his name called.
However, that call never came and the Colorado quarterback will have to wait until Friday night to find out where he will play in 2025.
The NFL Draft experts on the call at ESPN were baffled by Sanders’ fall, especially Mel Kiper.
He insisted that Sanders is the best quarterback in this year’s draft and couldn’t find an explanation for his fall.

It is hard to understand why Sanders suddenly had no fans within NFL front offices.
He had a strong season at Colorado, but something must have went wrong during the draft process for teams to be so turned off to him.
Some reports indicated that Sanders’ interviews with NFL teams went poorly.
It’s possible that those teams didn’t feel like he was worth using a top pick when they could get him later.
The New York Giants even traded back up into the first round in order to pick a quarterback, but didn’t want Sanders.
They opted to select Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart.
NFL fans were baffled by Sanders’ first-round tumble, and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Deion Sanders and Shedeur have overplayed their hand,” one fan said.
“GIANTS FRONT OFFICE WILL REGRET THIS,” another fan said.
“Big mistake,” a third fan said.
