In the years since Demon’s Souls’ release, the gaming world has fallen deeply in love with developer FromSoftware’s uniquely punishing brand of gothic action-RPG. This format hit new heights with 2022’s Elden Ring. However, the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign shakes up the formula by adding co-op multiplayer elements to the traditional solo journey. Before you see if you and your friends are ready for the dark journey, ensure your PC is up to snuff by perusing these minimum and recommended specs.

What Is Elden Ring Nightreign?
Parsing a FromSoftware game’s obscure plot is as tricky as taking down its brutal enemies. Passionate players have already sussed out what happened in Elden Ring, and Nightreign takes place in the same world, despite writer George R.R. Martin not penning the story. Nightreign focuses on multiplayer combat, giving teams just a few in-game days to defeat a boss before the world resets. I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s exciting new lore to discover about The Lands Between.

Controller and Steam Deck Support
FromSoftware experts have mastered these famously difficult games using a variety of controllers, including dance mats. But for the rest of us, Elden Ring Nightreign features full gamepad support. The original Elden Ring was Steam Deck verified, but Nightreign’s Steam Deck support is unknown. The action-RPG incorporates third-party DRM courtesy of GuardIT.
