McCarthy, 22, suffered a season-ending knee injury before the start of the 2024 season.
This has led to links that the Vikings could make a move for Rodgers this offseason.
The 41-year-old veteran is a free agent following his exit from the New York Jets.
He has been heavily tipped with a switch to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the deal has dragged on.
But it appears that the Vikings will be sticking with McCarthy after his recent declaration.
Then star has insisted that the midwestern team can “lean” on him in the 2025 season.
He said via Sporting News: “I know I’m ready to start.
“Because of all the work I’ve put in and just the confidence in my skills and abilities and just being able to do my job.
“And to simplify things to the best of my ability every single day.
“And just to take it one day at a time, one play at a time.
