Samsung is gearing up to unveil its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip 7. But we could witness a major shift in its core hardware. As per the recent report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to ditch Qualcomm Snapdragon altogether and can be powered by the brand’s in-house Exynos 2500 processor. This departure from Qualcomm could be seen and marks as a shift in strategies and brand’s long-standing use of Snapdragon chips in its Flip Foldables.

Why Samsung is Switching to Exynos?

As per reports, Samsung’s decision to switch to its –in-house Exynos chipset is possibly driven by the cost-efficiency. Since company’s Flip and Fold series have smaller shipment volumes as compared to Galaxy S series, so company might have thought to go for the cost-efficiency strategy by bringing it with more economical chipset.

Additionally, Samsung has also resolved the poor yield rates for the 3nm-based Exynos chip. It is expected that the company could start the mass production for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 this month with around 200,000 units planned initially.

Expected Features:

As per leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might feature a large 4-inch cover display which is a jump from the previous version. It is expected to run on the OneUI 8 based on Android 16, and a 4,174mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Expected Price:

The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be priced at Rs 1,09,999.
