Robust system of access tokens
Access tokens are how Facelift connects to your social media accounts. A token grants us permission to access data from a page such as Facebook, view analytics, share posts, and allow our software to function.
Unlike many products on the market, our access tokens are not permanent. They are quite secure, to begin with, but they need to be renewed regularly, which means there is minimal risk of them falling into someone else’s hands.
It may feel like a minor nuisance to receive an email every couple of weeks telling you to update your token, but this is for really good measure! With so many data breaches in the world, the ability to refresh your connection regularly helps keep your information safe.
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
GDPR Compliance
Facelift is GDPR compliant. That means not only do we treat your data safely, we enable you to manage your own users’ data responsibly.
You can easily manage and delete any user information that you may collect via your social media accounts.
How this works:
We use data display, not data storage. This means, for example, that when one of your followers comments on your page, their name and possibly other profile information is automatically shown on tools such as our Engage, which allows you to speak to and manage your community.
But that person’s data is not actually stored on our servers; it is displayed for you via API and can be deleted from your dashboard by you at any time.

Powerful user controls and 2-factor authentication
Facelift enables social media orchestration, a strategic approach to enterprise-wide social media activity and collaboration at scale. This means that Facelift customers usually have many users, sometimes hundreds or thousands. With so many people creating content and accessing your business accounts, it’s really important to maintain some form of control.
Facelift is equipped with advanced user controls that allow administrators to customize what their users see and access and what they don’t. It also has an audit trail so you can check user logs to monitor activity.
Administrators can also assign or deny granular permissions. This means that even users or teams outside your company, such as agency partners, freelancers, or influencers, can work together in one space without you needing to fear giving them access to sensitive accounts or info.
For example, if you hire a PR agency to review your content before publishing it, they can be given access to view posts before they are published and participate in the approvals process, but they don’t need to be given access to account management, analytics, or the ability to publish or change content themselves.
You can also restrict IP access so that users are only able to log in at the office or at other permitted locations, such as their homes, if approved.
Furthermore, all of these users can be forced to use 2-factor authentication if your organization chooses to mandate it. While this feature is optional, we highly recommend that you use it!
