The S1 Pro comes with two cameras, a hub, mounting brackets and hardware, a LAN cable, a USB-A-to-USB-C charging cable, and a power adapter for the hub. The cameras have an IP67 weatherproof rating and are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs that are rated to last up to 210 days between charges. Each camera has a solar panel mounted on the top that adjusts its orientation based on the position of the sun for maximum charging. With several hours of direct sunlight each day, the batteries can remain fully charged year-round. For comparison, the EufyCam 3 S330 cameras have a fixed solar panel that does not move to stay in the sunshine.

The bullet-style S1 Pro camera measures 3.0 by 2.8 by 6.4 inches (HWD), and the built-in solar panel measures 6.5 by 2.7 inches. The front of the camera houses an 8x telephoto lens with a 45-degree field of view and a wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view. Both lenses capture 3K video at 15fps. The EufyCam 3 S330 cameras only have one lens apiece, but deliver sharper 4K resolution with a wider 135-degree field of view.

For more expansive views, consider a camera with mechanical pan and tilt support like the 3K solar-equipped dual-lens Eufy SoloCam S340 ($199.99) or the 4K Reolink Altas PT Ultra ($209.99). The Reolink doesn’t have a built-in solar panel, but it comes bundled with one for $229.99 and is the only wireless model I’ve tested with support for continuous 24/7 recording, if that’s a concern.

Around the back of the S1 Pro camera is a threaded hole for mounting, and on the bottom, there’s a USB charging port, a pairing button, and a speaker. Intruder deterrents include a 100-lumen spotlight and an 85dB siren.

The included HomeStation hub is the same as the one that comes with the N1 camera kit. It measures 5.6 by 2.8 by 4.2 inches (HWD) and has a white finish with a gray base and top. Beneath the lid is a removable drive sled that will accommodate a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD of up to 16TB for video storage. The hub comes with 16GB of built-in storage that provides up to three months of rolling video history. The EufyCam 3 S330 conveniently supports local storage via its included hub, or optional cloud backup for an extra fee.

The front of the S1 Pro’s HomeStation hub has an LED indicator that glows red when the device is powered up and turns blue when it’s ready for setup. The rear panel holds a Sync/Alarm Off button, a Reset button, a USB-A port, a 1GbE LAN port for connecting to your router, and a power jack. Internal components include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) radios, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and a 90dB siren.

The S1 Pro will stream video to Alexa and Google smart displays and works with routines and scenes, but it doesn’t support Apple HomeKit or IFTTT. It uses the same Baseus mobile app (free for Android and iOS) as the N1 system, and each camera appears in its own panel on the app’s home screen along with the name of the camera, a recently captured image, the remaining battery level, a Wi-Fi signal indicator, and a play arrow. When you tap the arrow, it launches a live stream in a split window with wide-angle and telephoto views. Below the video windows are buttons for initiating two-way talk, recording video, taking a snapshot, muting the speaker, viewing in full-screen (landscape) mode, activating the spotlight, sounding the siren, and choosing a night vision option (off, black-and-white, color).

To access the camera settings, tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner. Here, you can turn the camera on and off, enable solar panel sun tracking, select a power setting (optimal battery life, optimal surveillance), configure motion detection and audio settings, select a night vision option (black and white, spotlight color, off), enable notifications, and share access to the cameras with other users.
