Every week, Netflix drops a ton of new content for viewers to stream from studios all over the world. Some of it’s good, some of it’s… not for us. Watching all of it would take you a ton of time, so we’ve decided to start our Friday by recommending three top picks for the week to come. Schedule your viewing around these shows and movies, and we’ll be watching along with you. This week: a gutsy stand-up special from Sarah Silverman, a new installment of Fear Street, and some saucy reality TV. The full list is below.
This Week on Netflix: PCMag’s Picks
Sarah Silverman: PostMortem (May 20)
The mark of a truly elite comedian is their ability to squeeze a set out of anything, so we’re not surprised that Sarah Silverman has managed to transform the loss of both of her parents into a tight new special. In PostMortem, filmed during her 2024 tour, she grapples with the deaths of her father, who gave her a dirty joke book right after she learned to read, as well as her stepmother. Audience reviews were polarized, but some people really loved it.
Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark (May 21)
Sometimes a bit of trashy reality TV is just what the doctor ordered, and Netflix’s new dating show Sneaky Links looks to hit the sweet spot between sexy and cringe. When six singles show up to a motel looking to find true love, they’re shocked to discover that the people they’ve been hooking up with are also there and ready to mingle. Will they deepen the relationships with their booty calls, find someone new, or just crash and burn?

Fear Street: Prom Queen (May 23)
Goosebumps legend R.L. Stine’s horror series for more grown-up readers is becoming almost as big a success, with the fourth Fear Street movie coming next week. Set in 1988, the hot topic at Shadyside High is which one of the popular “It Girls” is going to win the crown at that year’s Senior Prom. But when a dark horse candidate emerges, bodies start to stack up and things get messy very fast.
