Google has introduced a load of handy new AI tools, including a button to automatically buy products for you “when the price is right”.

Users will soon have the ability to track price and set the amount they wish to spend.
As soon as the price drops to a figure you’re happy with you’ll receive an alert on your phone.
This will give you a chance to buy it before it’s snapped up in sales, potentially saving a load of cash.
What’s more, “agentic checkout” will handle the purchase for you, so you don’t have to navigate to the retailer’s website and add to cart.
Instead, it’ll all be sorted on a simple box – and all you have to do is hit the buy button to confirm you still want the product.
The feature will be rolling out over the coming months, starting with the US first.
It comes as Google delves further into the world of artificial intelligence with a new AI Mode coming to its popular search engine.
Housed in a new AI Mode tab on the main Google Search page, the tool is said to have “more advanced reasoning” with the ability to go deeper through follow-up questions and links to the web.
The new shopping experience will sit within this, providing users with access to a virtual dressing room.
A browsable panel of images and product listings will appear when you search for an item, with the ability to narrow them down much more than before.
At a major event in California, Google bosses said that its AI kit is getting even better with new super intelligent capabilities for Gemini 2.5, the firm’s rival to ChatGPT.
“More intelligence is available, for everyone, everywhere,” explained Google boss Sundar Pichai.
“And the world is responding, adopting AI faster than ever before…
“What all this progress means is that we’re in a new phase of the AI platform shift.
“Where decades of research are now becoming reality for people, businesses and communities all over the world.”
THIS COULD REVOLUTIONISE SHOPPING

This could mean you never have to miss a big sale never again.
We’ve all been there – spotted a cute jumper but don’t like the price, so you keep checking back in case it’s on sale (or, simply forget).
This new feature will keep tabs on that item and send you a notification as soon as the price has gone down to a price you’re happy to pay.
And better still, you’ll be able to pay for it there and then with Google, no need to go to the retailer’s own site and add to basket.
The feature is only coming to the US first but will surely come to other countries later.
