Apple kicked off its WWDC event with a raft of announcements for iOS 26, and if you’re an Apple Music subscriber, you’ve got new features heading your way.
Those new features include Lyric Translation and Pronunciation, AutoMix and Music Pins.
Of course, since these features are being announced for iOS 26, it’s probably best not to expect them to come to Android quite so soon.

Lyric Translation and Pronunciation
Apple is adding this feature to its Music app to help subscribers understand the meaning of a song in a different language.
Say you’ve been listening to Japanese rock band Man on a Mission and you can’t quite follow some of the Japanese lyrics – now you can undersand what’s being sung.
The Lyris Pronunciation feature will help anyone who wants to be a karaoke star, so you can sing along to a track and get all the words correct, regardless of the language being sung.
AutoMix
AutoMix isn’t the crossfade feature that’s been around for yonks. It uses AI to transition from one song to the next like a DJ would, either stretching time and matching the beat to seamlessly move from one song to the next.
From the demo Apple showed, it did sound pretty cool and a neat way of using AI to create an experience you wouldn’t be able to get if you weren’t an actual DJ.
Music pins
This third feature helps you keep track of your favourite artists and albums. Listen to a band or singer a lot? Now they can be pinned to the top of your home screen as an ever-ready reminder of what you need to listen to when you open the app.
All these features will launch when iOS 26 is released later in 2025. You can download the beta right now.
