Apple seems to be on a roll as they’ve been dropping special announcements since last week. With WWDC bringing the new iOS 26 and the fresh Liquid design, Apple introduced a whole new look and style for iPhone fans. The new iOS comes packed with Apple Intelligence, integrated with new features that are actually really useful. Now it looks like Apple is onto something even bigger, and this time it involves an upcoming movie.
The upcoming F1 film starring Brad Pitt is already shaping up to be a great cinematic experience, and Apple is taking the experience one step further.
Apple has launched a haptic-enabled trailer for the movie, and it’s exclusive to iPhones. It uses the iPhone’s Taptic Engine and lets users feel the trailer. In simple terms, the phone will rumble with every gear shift, engine rev, and high throttle moment. This is clearly a great way to market the new movie that’s coming under the banner of Apple TV+. It brings the thrill and intensity of Formula 1 straight to the user’s hands and makes them even more hyped for the film.
Apple released a new F1 trailer that uses the iPhone’s haptic motor for physical feedback – so I turned the volume down and recorded just the vibrations.

The feature is now available to stream via the Apple TV app, but there’s a catch. iPhone users will need to be running iOS 18.4 or later to feel the full effect. It only works on iPhones with the Taptic Engine. So, if someone is using an older iPhone model or watching on an iPad or Mac, then sadly, the effects won’t be felt. In India, the Apple TV subscription costs Rs 99 a month.
This haptic trailer might sound gimmicky, but it’s actually part of Apple’s broader strategy of blending tech with immersive entertainment. The company is going all-in on this film and even showcased the F1 trailer at WWDC 2025. The movie is set to release in IMAX on June 27.
