DUGGAR family friend Carver Bowers has been arrested and charged with “sexual abuse of a child under 12,” The U.S. Sun can report.
Carver, a 23-year-old Christian singer from Alabama, was booked into the Covington County Jail on June 13, a corrections spokesperson told The U.S. Sun.

According to a local court representative, he was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12.
The alleged victim has not been revealed, and there’s no indication the child in question has any relation to the Duggar family.
In Carver’s mugshot, he appears stoic and stone-faced, his blond hair messy.
He wears a neutral jail jumpsuit as he stands against the wall, showing he’s roughly 72 inches tall, or 6 feet.
Carver was bailed out of jail on the same day he entered the corrections facility, the spokesperson claimed, at $20,000 for each count.
His next court date has not yet been set, and he is not currently in custody.
After the arrest, Carver deleted his popular Instagram page, and his new wife, Haley, went private on her social media accounts.
WIFE SPEAKS OUT
However, a popular Duggar Reddit group captured her alleged statement posted to Instagram.
“The devil couldn’t reach out marriage in other ways so he used the people closest to us to tear us apart,” she wrote.
“Whatever happened years ago was wrong and a sin, but Jesus doesn’t put boundaries on forgiveness and I am certainly not going to step into his shoes and take that place.
“I have no idea what will happen next but no matter what I will be standing by his side every step of the way.
“I know that Jesus has a beautiful purpose and plan for our life and he’s given me the most unwavering trust and peace.”
Carver and Haley, 20, married in April 2024, and started a joint Instagram page called Jesus First Relationship, vowing to “inspire young people to live their Christ-centered relationship to the fullest.”
The account is now private.
DUGGAR CONNECTION
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Carver was rumored to be courting, or dating in Christian speak, Johanna Duggar, now 19, back in 2021.
“We are great friends but no, we’re not courting or getting to know each other with intentions of marriage at all,” he told The U.S. Sun exclusively. “Just friends with her and her family.”
The Duggar family infamously has coped with shocking arrest of their own, as oldest son Josh was arrested and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography in April 2021.
Josh’s wife Anna had just announced she was pregnant with their seventh child days before.
In December of that year, Josh was found guilty of two charges of knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography.
Just five months later, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
He is currently serving his sentence at FCI Seagoville federal prison in Texas.
