Data is the nucleus of today’s digital enterprise. Every operational facet — from manufacturing to marketing, customer support and logistics — relies on data for efficiency and scalability. But, the data itself is changing, and emerging complexities call for companies to approach data management differently.

Qlik’s Chris Powell unpacks the “Do Data Differently” mantra with theCUBE.

With an ecosystem that supports diverse user needs, from data integration to advanced analytics, how is QlikTech International AB helping organizations realize new outcomes?

“With the theme of the show being ‘Do Data Differently,’ a lot of this was borne out of work that we were doing with customers, with partners and with analysts about how customers were looking to do things differently,” said Chris Powell (pictured), chief marketing officer of Qlik. “Last year, the strategy and the announcements we made were a big part of that show. What we started to see was that so many organizations were struggling with just having a strategy but not being able to make it real.”

Powell spoke with theCUBE’s John Furrier and Bob Laliberte at Qlik Connect, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, News Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how Qlik is helping organizations unlock what matters most: Insight, action and trust. (* Disclosure below.)

Three words define Qlik’s data management approach

In customer feedback, three traits emerged that define why businesses choose Qlik: Breadth, flexibility and guidance, according to Powell. The platform’s interoperability and multicloud flexibility ensure customers can access, transform and act on data from anywhere — unlocking value whether they’re starting their data journey or leading in AI adoption.

“That flexibility within our system is a big piece of why customers like choosing Qlik,” he said. “Whether you’re moving data, needing to transform it, provide access to it, analyze it or act on it, we can step in to any of those pieces that you’re looking to do. We work with any environment, from any environment and to any environment.”

Additionally, Qlik’s analytics engine is now proving crucial in the AI era. It enables powerful agent-based AI systems to tap into entire datasets — not just query-limited views — unlocking new depths in enterprise decision-making, Powell added.
