President-elect Donald Trump suggested on Friday that TikTok might be allowed to continue operating in the United States “for a little while,” signaling a notable shift in his stance on the controversial social media platform. Speaking at an event in Phoenix, Trump emphasized TikTok’s significant impact on his presidential campaign, noting that videos he posted on the app had garnered billions of views. On Monday, Trump met with TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew to discuss the app’s future. that day, he told reporters at a news conference that he had a “warm spot” for TikTok, crediting the platform for helping amplify his campaign’s message.
