Three months after the season 2 finale, The Severance Podcast is returning this week with five new episodes and a cool idea. Here’s what to expect.
Wait, there’s an official Severance podcast?
If you’re a fan of Severance and didn’t know it had an official podcast, you’re in for a treat (but please enjoy each podcast episode equally).
Just ahead of the season 2 premiere, showrunner Ben Stiller and actor Adam Scott launched a companion series that recapped each episode of season 1, featuring interviews with show creator Dan Erickson and key cast and crew members.
That format continued through season 2, with new podcast episodes landing just hours after each Apple TV+ release.
Five new episodes and plenty of homework
Now, even with season 3 still in early development, the podcast is coming back with five new episodes, starting Thursday, June 26.
Here’s the official announcement on what to expect:
Ben and Adam will unpack the movies and tv shows that have influenced Severance with very special guests. And they’ll also talk with more Severance superfans about their burning questions. If you’ve got a question about Severance or the things that influenced it, call our hotline at 212-830-3816.
While there’s no confirmed lineup yet of what films or shows will be discussed, Severance Wiki has a list of titles that cast and crew have directly cited as influences:
