NVIDIA is expected to launch its new flagship graphics card for the Chinese market, the GeForce RTX 5090 DD, this August, according to Canadian media outlet Wccftech. The model is a special edition designed to replace the previously banned RTX 5090 D due to new US export restrictions. The final version of the RTX 5090 DD may see a further reduction in CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) cores to 14,080, a cut of up to 35%. Combined with reduced memory capacity, overall gaming performance could decline by around 20% to 30%. Meanwhile, NVIDIA’s rival AMD is also said to be preparing special-edition graphics cards with downgraded performance specifically for the Chinese market. [Icsmart, in Chinese]
