Belting idea
Jake Paul says the WBC and WBA plan to hand him a world ranking if he beats Julio Cesar Chavez Jr – setting up a controversial title shot.
Paul said: “My goal is to become world champion and the WBA and WBC plan on ranking me depending on my performance. And once I’m ranked I can go for the title shot.
“He’s a formidable opponent, former world champion, it’s a great, test ten rounds to get ready for what will ultimately be a world championship fight one day.”
Zur infinity and beyond
Chief support next with Zurdo Ramirez defending his unified WBA and WBO titles against Cuban challenger Yuniel Dorticos.
And Jake Paul has his eyes on the winner… careful what you wish for.
Big one up next
We’ve got one more fight until the main event with Gilberto Ramirez defending his WBA and WBO titles against Yuriel Dorticos!
This is expected to be a thriller with Zurdo at the top of his game and Cuban Dorticos a KO specialist.
We can’t wait for this one – and then Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will be coming to the ring after that.
IT’S ALL OVER!
Big combination from Curiel with Rodriquez on the ropes and that’s all she wrote!
Took a while for Curiel to get going but when he did – it was all she wrote.
Rodriguez sporting a bruised face, probably the right call from the referee.
