The Pure Smart A19F Tunable White Filament Bulb is a clear polycarbonate light bulb with thin LED strips inside that resemble a traditional filament bulb when lit. It measures 4.0 by 2.4 inches (HW) and has an A19 shape and an E26 screw-in base. It’s a white-only bulb that puts out 800 lumens of brightness and offers a tunable color temperature range of 2,000K to 4,000K. By comparison, its RGB sibling, the 800-lumen Pure Smart TruColor A19 smart bulb, has a wider tunable white color range of 1,500K to 6,500K, while the colorful AiDot Linkind Matter Smart Light Bulb offers a white temperature range of 2,700K to 6,500K.

The bulb doesn’t require a hub and instead uses built-in Bluetooth and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radios to connect to your home network and the WiZ Connected mobile app (available for Android and iOS). It supports Alexa, Google, and SmartThings home automation platforms, but as is the case with the Pure Smart TruColor Bulb, it doesn’t work with Apple’s HomeKit platform or Matter.
The Filament Bulb uses the same Wiz Connected app as the Pure Smart TruColor Bulb. When you open the app, tap the room where you have the bulb installed. This launches a room screen with six Quick Control buttons. The Control button takes you to a screen where you can manually adjust the bulb’s color temperature and brightness using sliders, choose a warm or cool preset, and create your own color temperature preset. At the bottom of this screen are more buttons: Static opens a screen with more presets, including Cozy, Focus, Night Light, Relax, and TV Time. The Dynamic button takes you to a screen with lighting effects, including Alarm, Bedtime, Candlelight, Diwali, Golden White, Pulse, Steampunk, and Wake-Up.
