At the heart of the system, an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery of 2.048 Wh, associated with a 3,000 W inverter capable of turning gourmet household appliances such as induction plates or fridges. The whole is compact (32.6 l) and rather transportable with its 22 kg, which makes it a credible nomadic alternative to heavier and sedentary solutions like Tesla’s Powerwall.
A portable battery for the most gourmet uses
But the main asset of the Power 2000 is above all its extension capacity: up to 10 additional batteries can be connected, to reach a total of 22,528 Wh. What ensure several hours of autonomy in a house in the event of a cut or an entire summer of Vanlife with comfort (still you have to be able to transport all this arsenal).
The Power 2000 offers three charging methods: in the mains, with a peak at 2,200 W for a full load in 75 minutes (or 80 % in 45 min); by solar panels (up to 1,800 W) with the dedicated charger; Or from a vehicle, using the motorhome alternator or battery.
A hybrid mode combining solar and sector makes it possible to optimize recharging while reducing the environmental impact. The unit also has a UPS mode (supply without interruption) which takes over (in 0.01 second!) In the event of a cut, to protect sensitive equipment.
On the noise side, Dji promises an operation within 30 dB, it is more discreet than a domestic fridge. The DJI Home application allows you to control everything remotely: battery status, activation of ports, recharge monitoring, etc.
On the security side, the manufacturer relies on intelligent management: 26 temperature sensors, 21 fuses, overload protection and anti-fire design are on the program. The battery is announced with a lifespan of 4,000 cycles – about 10 years of daily use.
With a Price of € 1,399 for the base station, the Power 2000 is placed at the top of the basket. With the ten extension modules, it quickly increases the bill to € 10,000. Added to this are the many accessories (chargers, cables, panels) which are, for the most part, owners. Another limit: no exit dedicated to 12V motorhome systems or direct integration into the electrical panel of housing, which other market players such as Ecoflow or Bluetti already offer.
But DJI is targeting here above all mobile users, shooting videographers or motorhomes of motorhomes who want a powerful and simple solution to deploy. And given the speed with which the manufacturer enriches its Power range, it is not excluded that the missing functions arrive soon.
