The Sonos Arc received a 4.5 star rating when we reviewed it, a soundbar that handle film and music soundtracks, delivering height and width with immersive audio tracks.
It’s able to produce this level of performance thanks to the eleven speakers inside, which includes two dedicated height channels, allowing it to fire sounds above, to the sides and at your seating position too.
Like any other Sonos speaker, it can be controlled through the Sonos app which allows the soundbar to be connected to other Sonos speakers on the same Wi-Fi network. You can create a multi-room system where you can play music to all the speakers; or you can create a home cinema system with the Arc at the centre along with a subwoofer and surround speakers.
Within the app there’s scope for altering the EQ, enabling Sonos’ Speech Enhancement feature for improved dialogue clarity. You can stream from a multitude of music apps within the app, a list that includes Spotify, Amazon Music, Qobuz and others (as long as you have a subscription to them).
Even though the Arc has been replaced by the Arc Ultra, it still remains an excellent soundbar five years after its release. If the Arc Ultra is too expensive then the Arc, at half its price with this deal, is an excellent. It won’t last for long since Prime Day is coming to an end.
