Whether you subscribe to them individually or as part of a bundle deal, Disney+ and Hulu both have a lot to offer streaming fans. Disney has the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu brings the heat with tons of original shows and movies from around the world, coupled with American TV shows from network partners. Between the two services, they release a ton of content every week, so I’ll make it easy for you by picking three worthwhile new entries. The full list of TV shows and movies coming to the streaming services can be found below.

This Week on Hulu and Disney+: PCMag’s Picks

Memoir of a Snail (Hulu, July 29)

Adult stop-motion animation isn’t a subgenre that we see too often, so Memoir of a Snail is worth your attention for that alone. This Australian film follows a young girl named Grace who is put into foster care after the death of her parents. Separated from her brother, she develops an obsession with snails as the film follows her through her life, meeting bizarre people and becoming embroiled in bizarre situations. It’s at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, so check it out.

Mr. & Mrs. Murder (Hulu, July 30)

True crime is still big business, and new Hulu miniseries Mr. & Mrs. Murder dives deep into the story of Mike Williams, who vanished during a Florida duck hunting trip and was presumed eaten by alligators. But when his widow married his best friend just a few years after, the family started to get suspicious and started an investigation that unraveled a bizarre plot of betrayal and bad behavior.

StuGo (Disney+, July 30)

While much of Disney’s modern-day animation is targeted at the preschool crowd, they do sometimes sneak out a show that’s fun for the whole family. StuGo is a witty and visually fun series about a group of six middle schoolers hoodwinked to a mad scientist’s experiment-filled island under the disguise of an academic summer camp. They’ll have to learn fast if they want to survive the bizarre flora and fauna.
