If you’ve scrolled through the Amazon iOS or Android app recently, then you’ll likely have noticed the new Haul tab.

Although Haul is still in beta mode across the UK, the feature has been available in the US since 2024.

But what is Amazon Haul and how does it differ from the usual Amazon shopping experience? Are the extremely low prices legit or do you risk receiving poor quality products instead?

We explain everything we know about Amazon Haul, including what the service is, how it differs from the usual Amazon experience and how it can get away with charging such low prices.

What is Amazon Haul?

If you’ve ever shopped on Temu or Shein, then the Amazon Haul interface will look familiar. Although Amazon Haul is found within the Amazon smartphone app, the feature has its own shopping experience and is separate from Amazon shopping.

Amazon promises that Haul offers “everyday products at affordable prices” across a variety of categories including fashion, home, lifestyle and even electronics. The idea behind Haul is that customers can easily build up a “haul of items” at once. To incentivise customers to add to their haul, they’ll receive extra savings off orders once you hit a certain threshold. For example, orders over £50 will automatically get 5% off while orders over £75 will see 10% off.

All products on Amazon Haul are priced under £20, with most even under £10 too. Some products are also listed with the “crazy low” badge, which can be as cheap as under £1.

Why is Amazon Haul so cheap?

Most Amazon products are housed in Amazon Warehouses globally, so when you purchase a product the order will be processed from the closest warehouse to you. Haul, however, works differently. Instead, all Haul products are shipped from outside the UK, and it’s worth noting that Amazon doesn’t explicitly state exactly where from.

Amazon explains that this helps Haul offer such low prices, as it lists the customer as the importer for “customs purposes”.

Do you get next day delivery with Amazon Haul?

Even if you are a Prime member and have grown to expect next-day or even same-day delivery, Amazon Haul doesn’t offer this. Instead, you should expect any Haul purchases to arrive in under two weeks, although Amazon disclaims that “shipping times may vary and are dependent on a customer’s delivery location”.

There is also a minimum order size of £15 required to qualify for free delivery. Otherwise a £2.99 shipping will occur for any order under £15.

How can I access Amazon Haul?

Haul is available to select customers in the UK, via an iOS or Android smartphone app. You can find the tool by tapping the Haul option on the top panel or by searching “Haul” in the search bar.

Is Amazon Haul safe?

Amazon explains that all products on Haul “go through all relevant Amazon checks” to ensure they are “compliant with applicable regulations and Amazon policies”. Customers can also request free refunds and returns within 15 days of receiving their parcel too.

Amazon also states that in many cases, customers won’t need to worry about boxing up their returns or printing off labels, as drop-off locations will handle the “packing, labelling and shipping”.
