Data Freelancers
Founded: 2025
The business: A self-described “upscale version of Upwork” that connects organizations needing AI expertise with vetted freelancers that are invited or referred into the marketplace. Data Freelancers is onboarding its first wave of U.S.-based freelancers and preparing for launch. It’s an evolution of Data Literacy, a separate entity that launched in 2018 and provides data and AI training services.
Leadership: CEO Ben Jones spent six years at Tableau as a marketing and outreach leader. Jones, who is funding Data Freelancers, also teaches at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and has written 10 books on data and AI. His co-founder Becky Jones previously worked at Amazon and Microsoft.
Dodda
Founded: 2023
The business: Real estate technology startup that aggregates data about properties, including recent legislative policy changes, to help streamline permit processing. The company is generating revenue and customers include developers and architects. Dodda graduated from the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator last year.
Leadership: Gayathri (G3) Venkataraman spent more than two decades at Microsoft leading various teams, and was a senior director of product management at Docusign.
Little Blueprint
Founded: 2025
The business: AI-powered companion targeted at parents to help families navigate challenging moments with their kids. The app is trained on child development science and adapts to each child’s personality. The company is bootstrapped and demoing at Seattle Tech Week this week.
Leadership: Jessica Xu previously worked at Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle. She was a vice president of product at Climate Vault Solutions. Co-founder Jason Grant was COO and president at Climate Vault, and was a longtime exec at Monexa Services Inc.
Miirr
Founded: 2025
The business: Platform for fashion buyers and merchandisers that uses AI to streamline how products are brought to market. Automates product data ingestion, tracks signals on social media, and creates a “digital twin” of real world products. The company won a recent pitch competition at the AI2 Incubator.
Leadership: CEO Danielle Dantche spent eight years as director of merchandising operations at Seattle-based retailer Pipe and Row.
