DEION Sanders shared an emotional text he sent to his NFL sons after making his will during his cancer battle.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach confirmed in a press conference on Monday that he had bladder cancer and has beaten the disease.

Sanders underwent surgery to remove his bladder and the tumor and is now cancer-free.
The 57-year-old missed spring training and other events due to his health issues.
But Coach Prime wasn’t sure if he’d make it while dealing with bladder cancer.
On Wednesday, a video posted by Well Off Media documented Sanders’ battle and recovery from his illness.

During the uncertainty, he drafted and sent a text to his sons, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Shilo Sanders, after finishing his will.
Both sons had been drafted by their respective teams in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Shedeur had experienced a brutal draft slide that saw him selected in the fifth round.
Sanders was emotional as both Shedeur and Shilo started rookie minicamp that day.
“Texting the boys,” Sanders read as he then read out loud his text to his sons.
“It’s their first day of practice today, and I’m excited.
“It’s kind of the first day that we’ve been apart for a long time.”
“Love you, son. And proud of you. I can’t wait to hear how today went.”
After the next reveal, Sanders revealed that he had to make a will as his surgery approached.
“It’s just not easy, at all, to think that you might not be here. But you want to make sure everybody’s straight,” Sanders said.

During Monday’s press conference, Sanders revealed that he didn’t let his sons know about his serious health battle and his surgeries a few months ago.
“My sons, to this day, don’t know what transpired, I just told them it was something with my foot, because I wanted to give them the focus on making the team and not focused on dad,” he said.
Sanders will now look to coach in his third season with the Buffaloes.
He’s coming off a season in which he coached the team to a 9-4 record.
Colorado’s first game will be on August 29 against Georgia Tech.
