Amazon’s Best Back-to-School Deals and Discounts For 2025

If you’re back-to-school shopping, chances are you’re going to do some of it at Amazon. The online megaretailer started out selling books, which are still important for learning, but they also sell just about everything else you’ll need in the classroom. That extends to tech as well, and Amazon is showing some nice prices on back-to-school essentials like laptops, tablets and more. Here are four of the best deals we’ve found so far, with more to come before the bell rings.

Amazon Back-To-School Laptop Deals

If you tour college campuses, you’ll find that the MacBook is pretty much ubiquitous for classroom use. Apple’s sleek and powerful portable is both a status symbol and a workhorse, and the most recent MacBook Air combines light weight with incredible capabilities. In our review of the 2025 Air, we said that this model improved on the last version in every way, from a more powerful M4 processor to boosted RAM, a better camera, and a lower sticker price. Weighing in at just 2.7 pounds, it’s our Editors’ Choice for mainstream ultraportable laptops. Amazon has a 15% discount on this configuration for back-to-school season.

For students on a budget, the Aspire Go 15 is one of the best options out there, especially with a 14% price cut. We reviewed a slightly more powerful configuration of this portable, and gave it an “Excellent” rating, noting its serviceable performance and good port selection. While there’s nothing on this machine that will dazzle you, it’s durable enough to handle extensive assignments, has decent battery life and supports Wi-Fi 6. Note that the laptop ships with Windows 11 pre-installed in S Mode, but that’s easily remedied if you want to.

Amazon Back-To-School Tablet Deals

A budget tablet can be a great choice for the classroom, letting you take notes in a more natural way than with a laptop, join remote video calls and record audio. You can spend big bucks on a high-end iPad, but if you’re shopping on a budget, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a compelling option. Coming in at just over $200 thanks to an Amazon discount, we have a full review that breaks it down, with special praise going to its solid audio quality, durable build and included S Pen stylus. It weighs in at barely a pound, so it’s comfortable to use all day.

Amazon Back-To-School Headphones Deals

Finding personal space in a school environment can be challenging, which is why a good pair of headphones is essential to carving out a study zone. Over-ear headphones have the advantage of sending a clear visual signal that you don’t want to be bothered, and in our review of the Beats Solo 4s, we said that they delivered well-sculpted sound with clear lows and bright highs, along with hands-free Siri when connected to iOS devices. They also accept wired connections via 3.5mm or USB-C for higher-quality playback. $70 off is a nice deal.
