SYSPRO has deepened its warehouse management capabilities with the acquisition of US-based warehouse management systems (WMS) provider DATASCOPE. This is the global software provider for the manufacturing and distribution industries’ third acquisition in 2025 after its deals for NexSys and riteSOFT.

What DATASCOPE Brings

DATASCOPE has had over 20 years of functional and technical alignment with SYSPRO, as noted on August 4, when the latter announced the acquisition. The deal deepens SYSPRO’s delivery of a fully integrated ERP and WMS platform.

Additionally, the software provider’s customers will also benefit from enhanced inventory visibility, operational efficiency, and control over the supply chain due to DATASCOPE’s native alignment with SYSPRO.

“DATASCOPE has been a long-standing strategic partner, with a solution built to complement and enhance the SYSPRO ERP experience,” said Jaco Maritz, CEO of SYSPRO. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to offer an end-to-end, purpose-built digital manufacturing experience that simplifies warehouse and supply chain operations without added complexity.”

Advantage SYSPRO

The acquisition of DATASCOPE signals a key strategic move by SYSPRO under Advent’s ownership. The goal is to strike a critical balance between enriching its products with deeper functionality while expanding its operational reach.

However, even as it grows, SYSPRO is doubling down on its core commitment to manufacturing and distribution. For SYSPRO’s partners, the immediate result is a competitive edge as they are now equipped with a pre-integrated WMS, enabling them to differentiate their services and penetrate new market segments more effectively.

“SYSPRO has always been one of our most important strategic partners,” said Anton Jurgens, President and Founder, DATASCOPE. “Our entire solution was built with SYSPRO at its core. As part of SYSPRO, we’re now positioned to scale our impact, innovate faster, and better serve our customers on a global level.”

DATASCOPE’s team will now be integrated with SYSPRO, accelerating the latter’s mission of supporting global manufacturers and distributors with out-of-the-box solutions.

What This Means for ERP Insiders

SYSPRO’s acquisitions signal a strategy for faster, deeper integration. This is SYSPRO’s third acquisition in 2025, revealing an aggressive plan to enhance its platform. However, the company is acquiring long-standing partners whose solutions are already deeply woven into the SYSPRO ecosystem. This ‘buy what already fits’ approach is designed to deliver best-in-class functionality without the painful integration projects and bolt-on feel that often accompany acquisitions. For ERP Insiders, it means getting advanced, specialized features that feel native from day one, minimizing disruption and accelerating time-to-value.

The future of ERP is vertical-specific and purpose-built. SYSPRO is doubling down on its core commitment to the manufacturing and distribution industries. This signals a broader market trend away from generic, one-size-fits-all ERPs. Today, ERP vendors are competing by demonstrating that they understand a specific industry’s unique challenges better than anyone else. Therefore, ERP Insiders evaluating systems should demand deeper, industry-specific functionality and expect vendors to speak the buyer’s operational language, thereby reducing the need for expensive and complex customizations.

SYSPRO is taking full ownership of the WMS roadmap. The DATASCOPE team is now the SYSPRO team, creating a single entity responsible for the entire ERP and WMS stack. This represents a significant shift that de-risks a crucial part of the supply chain. Instead of dealing with two companies, users now have a single point of contact and accountability. This promises tighter integration, faster innovation in WMS features, and a more seamless end-to-end experience for managing everything from finance to forklift operations.
