Welsh ID verification company Credas Technologies has announced the appointment of Neil Williams as its new chief technology officer.
Williams joins Credas from sustainable home retrofitting firm Sero, the where he served as interim CTO following a £6m VC investment secured in 2023.
As the technology chief of Credas, Williams will help guide the firm as it expands into new sectors beyond onboarding services.
Notably, the firm last month launched what it described as the UK’s first compliance wallet, a reusable digital portal that contains the various compliance checks required for real estate transactions.
The company has also recently launched Credas Payments, a solution to recover costs associated with compliance checks.
“In my role at Credas, I’m focused on scaling our technology operations with a strong emphasis on governance and resilience,” Williams said.
“By leading a talented team and leveraging AI to enhance customer experiences, we’re driving innovation across our SaaS platform. This positions Credas for sustainable growth and continued success in an increasingly competitive landscape.”
The new Credas CTO has also held senior roles at compliance and risk management group Alcumus and insurance comparison service ActiveQuote.
“Neil’s experience in building technology with robust governance and resilience is exactly what we need as we enter the next phase of our growth,” said Credas chief executive Tim Barnett.
“Our mission is to simplify compliance for customers in regulated industries, and Neil will play a vital role in ensuring our technology continues to deliver on that promise at scale.”
