Sanders was in control in the three quarters of play in the contest.
The 2025 fifth-round pick threw for two touchdowns as the Browns defeated the Panthers, 30-10.
After the game, Sanders confronted ESPN Cleveland host Tony Grossi and went on a rant that seemed to be mostly playful.
“Tony, I be hoping you got something positive to say about me. You only say negative stuff about me. And I’m like, ‘I ain’t do nothing to you,'” Shedeur said to Grossi.

On Tuesday, Fox Sports star Colin Cowherd shared his disapproval of Sanders’ confrontation with Grossi.
The 61-year-old said that the postgame interaction showed there could still be some maturity issues that could hinder Sanders’ chances of moving up in the Browns’ signal-caller depth chart.
“There is a video, and it’s not hostile, of Shedeur Sanders, making a point after his first preseason game, of finding a very popular local guy. Tony Grossi. He’s a talk show host, very popular guy,” Cowherd said.
“I don’t listen to a lot of Cleveland radio, but I know who he is. Very, very popular.
“And again, it’s not ugly. And I do think Shedeur is a good kid. I question his judgment and maturity.
“But they kind of laugh in the end. It’s fine.
“But this thing is like, Shedeur, what are you doing?
“Get out of there. I don’t want you watching Tony Grossi TikTok clips.
Cowherd then explained that he thinks that Sanders has the capability of being an NFL starting quarterback.
But he did mention that Sanders’ physical tools are quite near someone like Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen and that he has to make it up with his decision-making and preparation, an aspect that he’s not confident about the Colorado Buffaloes product doing.

Grossi himself shared on Monday that he was the one who approached Sanders.
And Grossi revealed that the pair has moved on from the interaction that never really got heated.
Nonetheless, Sanders will look to keep his spot on the Browns roster this month.
The Browns revealed their second depth chart of the preseason and have Sanders sitting in last among the team’s four quarterbacks.
