Salesforce has reached an agreement to Buy WAIIa startup creative of a platform that allows SQL to transform natural language, aimed at business use.

This platform has a technology capable of translating questions asked in simple language to complex SQL queries, and prepared to use. In this way, the users of the platform have more facilities to access the data with which they work, as well as to act and work with them.

WAII was born to solve the problem that has to work with data to business users, who have problems for navigation due to data silos disconnected to each other, and that often depend on technical teams to translate business questions in database consultations.

The generative AI can address the knowledge gap in this sense of company users, but translate text to SQL still poses precision, safety and context problems when doing so in companies. Waii was born to save this gap, with the creation of a dynamic metadata knowledge graph that maps all data from a company.

This graph, in addition to database schemes, also represents relationships between tables, columns, company metrics and governance rules.

This contextual understanding allows the platform engine to translate questions in natural language and pass them to precise SQL queries and with a large context. The WAII platform incorporates a SQL compiler sensitive to the dialect, consultation optimization and complete business integration. All supported by its knowledge base.

When the operation is closed, which is expected to happen throughout the third fiscal quarter 2026 of the company, Salesforce has plans to integrate the WAII platform into Data Cloud. Its technology will boost the workflows of the agricultural AI, as well as the knowledge based on AI throughout the Salesforce platform, including agentforce and tableau Next.

The company expects to improve with this operation its ability to offer more intuitive forms of exploration and data management. In fact, the WAII platform will be the basis of the state -of -the -art semantic engine of Tableau, driven by a real -time knowledge chart.

Thus it will be possible to make faster and relevant analysis with a real -language exploration. With these, the system understands the user’s intention, and not just his words.

Raveendranathan loganathan, vicepresidene de salesforce data cloudhe pointed out that his vision is «Train all employees, from the joint room to the first line, so that they can maintain a reliable conversation with their data. In Salesforce we know that a deep understanding of metadata is key to this future. With WAII, we are not only expanding our battery, but we are acquiring the catalyst that makes this vision reality for our clients«.

Gunther Hagleitner, co -founder and executive director of WAIIhe commented on his part that «In a world in which each database speaks a different dialect of SQL, the WAII metadata knowledge graph will create a unified semantic layer that will allow users and agents to understand and communicate with any data source, while eliminating technical barriers that prevent critical information. We create WAII to close the gap between what people want to ask and what their data systems can understand. Unite Salesforce will allow us to take that mission to millions of users«.
