CLEVELAND BROWNS star Dillon Gabriel has been forced to backtrack on controversial comments after fans claimed he took a swipe at teammate Shedeur Sanders.
The two players are competing for the Browns’ coveted quarterback position in this season’s NFL.

Sanders made his bow in the 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers a week ago after being Drafted earlier this year.
While Gabriel was handed his first start in yesterday’s 22-13 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
But the ace suffered a backlash from fans after making controversial remarks.
Gabriel declared he could “tune out the noise”, which some took as a dig aimed at high-profile Sanders.
He continued: “There’s entertainers and there’s competitors. I totally understand that.
“My job is to compete and that’s what I’m focused on doing.”
Some Browns supporters were not happy with what they perceived to be slighted comments from Gabriel towards Sanders.
One said: “Proof that there are many ways to be a bad teammate.”
Another declared: “He thought this comment was slick.”
One added: “Why is he dissing Sanders when Shedeur is literally better?”

Now, Gabriel has been forced to clarify his comments and insists they were not aimed at Sanders.
He told reporters: “All you in this room are entertainers. You have a job to do, and I respect it. I’m a competitor, I have a job to do as well.
“I’m all about our team, each other. I would never make that and I’ve said it before, that’s why it’s interesting.
“But for me, I have to explain it. Entertainers are you all… competitors – that’s what I am and all my teammates, and we both have jobs to do.”
