She filmed an emotional video in her car after receiving some devastating personal news.

The customer had just been laid off from her job of five years, and was looking for a little pick-me-up at Starbucks.

But when she drove to the window, she was told that the Summer Berries special deal had expired.

Defeated, she drove away shared her story of heartbreak and coffee cravings on social media.

In the clip, she said: “It’s just a small thing, but I was just gonna comfort myself tonight.”

COMMENT COMPASSION

In the comments, many were supportive of the customer and saw that she was just trying to “find some normalcy” again after getting laid off.

One person said: “Nah, I’ll cut her some slack on this one.

“She’s losing her job of five years at the end of the week and she’s not handling it very well.

“While we may think her reaction is silly and immature, two of the things that she depends on are now gone.”

NAME OF THE GAME

Starbucks has come under fire this year for discontinuing menu items without warning for fans.

While Starbucks often offers seasonal items, its CEO Brian Niccol was criticized for axing 13 drinks from the menu in March this year.

The menu refresh was part of Niccol’s new vision for the company.

In place of these items, Starbucks has launched an array of new, more experimental offerings.

For example, the company has begun testing a new cold foam option that comes with 15 grams of protein.

The drink will be launched across all locations later this year, in a sign of Niccol’s desire to follow drink trends.

He said: “It’s on trend. It’s delicious.”

Drinks aren’t the only thing to change at Starbucks, as new policies have come in that make your drinks more expensive.

As of June 24, those who purchase unflavored drinks and want to add sauce or syrup combos will have to pay a surcharge of 80 cents.

As well as this, a 50-cent surcharge has been added for a scoop of dried fruit.

Customers will also have to pay an extra dollar for a scoop of matcha powder on their non-matcha drinks from now on.
