There’s always a bunch of new content coming to Netflix. So much, in fact, that it can be hard to keep track of what’s worth putting a pin in your calendar for. The good news is that Netflix puts out trailers for its upcoming and newly released shows and movies almost constantly.

Don’t have time to trawl the Netflix YouTube channel for the best trailers? Well, I do! So here are five new Netflix trailers I think are worth a few minutes of your time. You might just find your new favorite show below!

One Piece Season 2

While I’m personally not a fan of live-action anime adaptations, if there’s one show that seems to have done it right, it’s the One Piece adaptation. The first season of this version of the long-running Shōnen manga was a hit, and we’re getting a first look at the second season scheduled for a release somewhere in 2026.

A lot is being teased here, especially characters like Mr. O (Joe Manganiello) and Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova), but you can spot the rest for yourself above. Like a lot of people, I gave the first season a skip because I assumed it would be terrible like every other live-action anime adaptation, but if the trailer above looks promising, you’ve got plenty of time to catch up with the first season. Netflix is so confident, it seems that filming of the third season is already kicking off too!

The Thursday Murder Club

True crime is the bread and butter of many a streaming service, and fiction about crime is a close second to that. It seems the popularity of shows like Only Murders in the Building hasn’t gone unnoticed, and so Netflix has opted to adapt Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club where a bunch of old-age home denizens decide to investigate cold cases for fun, and then have a very hot case dropped in their lap out of nowhere.

To be honest, they had me at Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Ben Kingsly. So this one looks like it’s worth an episode or two at the very least. You can catch it on 28 August 2025.

Haunted Hotel

I’m a big fan of adult animation, but let’s be honest—Netflix has been really hit-and-miss when it comes to cartoons for grownups. However, Haunted Hotel‘s trailer has me filled with faint hope that it could actually be funny and not cringey in the try-hard way so many of these shows go about their business.

The basic premise is that a woman inherits a hotel from her brother, and his ghost is still haunting the place. Also, dozens of other ghosts. It’s a good premise and the trailer makes it seem like the ideal lead-up to the spooky season in October. We can all give it a fair chance on 19 September 2025.

America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys

I don’t even care about sports in my own country, and even I’ve heard of the Dallas Cowboys. I had no idea there was this much drama in the team’s history, however, and just in time for the start of the NFL season in September, Netflix is set to tell the whole sordid tale. For someone who isn’t a sports fan, but who did enjoy that Vince McMahon documentary, I’m pretty sold on this one. You can catch the ball right now, because it has just been released as I wrote these words.

1

Aka Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is by far one of the most interesting Hollywood characters—off-camera. While I don’t usually take much of an interest in the private lives of celebrities, Mr. Sheen’s “Tiger’s blood” trainwreck is something I definitely want to see the disaster report of. This tell-all Netflix doccie promises to be just that, and we can all set our calendars for 10 September 2025.

Some trailers can really ruin a show or movie, but these five have me hyped for something to watch. instead of just doomscrolling the Netflix front page, and eventually just falling asleep.
