APPLE fans are desperately trying to work out what the mysterious logo for the company’s next big event means.

The Californian tech giant has posted a special version of the Apple logo to promote its upcoming iPhone launch event.

We’re expecting the new iPhone 17 to debut at the special keynote on Tuesday, September 9.

Apple has given the event the name “Awe Dropping”, but hasn’t revealed what will be announced.

But the company has placed a special interactive Apple logo at the top of its website.

When you drag your finger or mouse cursor over it, the logo changes colour as if it was being viewed through a thermal imaging camera.

And it’ll glow brightly with an orangey-red heat spot, just like in a thermal image.

SECRET APPLE LOGO MEANING

What does it mean? Well, Apple hasn’t said a thing about it.

And the “Awe Dropping” event name doesn’t give us much in the way of a clue either.

But Apple fans have taken to Reddit threads to guess at what it might mean.

One potential option being mulled by fans is that this is a hint at new colours coming to the iPhone.

We might potentially see new blue and orange options available on some of the iPhone 17 models.

“Apple is just teasing that the new colour on the iPhones,” an Apple fan wrote.

It’s also possible that the thermal imaging design is a hint at new cooling features on Apple gadgets.

The cooler Apple can keep its devices, the greater the potential for boosted performance from its chips.

Chips work less effectively if they get very hot, so Apple could redesign its gadget interiors to provide better thermal efficiency – leaving you with a potentially speedier mobile.

“I think it’s related to the vapour chamber tech and the shift from titanium to aluminium,” one Apple fan wrote on Reddit.

“They’ll have to market hard on the downgrade from more premium materials, so I expect this heat logo is the first step.”

Another option is the idea of infrared – which is often used for health features – being linked to some new wellness tricks.

We’ve already seen rumours that the Apple AirPods might get heart-rate tracking, or that the Apple Watch will add blood pressure monitoring.

But Apple hasn’t confirmed either of those features, so they’re just theories for now.

One of the more outlandish theories is that Apple might add a thermal imaging camera to the iPhone.

But that seems unlikely, as it wouldn’t get much use from the general public.

Sadly, Apple hasn’t confirmed exactly what the interactive logo means.
