However, eager viewers couldn’t wait to share their guesses as to who could be included in the lineup, and many are hoping they’re right.
Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Levitt have already been named as this year’s participants, leaving nine spots left for new dancers.
One big name that fans are convinced has joined the cast is Scott Hoying from Pentatonix.
The a cappella singer sparked chatter that he might be heading to the ballroom floor after a photo circulated of a man who resembles the musician at Television City Studios in Los Angeles, California, where the show is filmed.
The pic captured a gentleman hiding behind numerous umbrellas while donning a visor to conceal his face.
Fans pointed out that the individual looked very similar to Scott, so it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume it was him.
Others did further investigative digging and noted that Pentatonix’s Christmas tour doesn’t begin until later this year, and they have no Tuesday shows for some time, which would make Scott available for DWTS, which typically runs for 10 to 12 weeks beginning in September.
MORE FAN THEORIES
Olympian Jordan Chiles is also rumored to be a part of this season’s lineup, one year after a controversial ruling at the 2024 Paris Olympics stripped her of her bronze medal.
Many fans were hopeful that the decorated gymnast would participate, as she wasn’t on last year’s roster, despite rumors that she would be.
Speculation rose after she did a post-game interview with GMA, which airs on ABC, the same network as DWTS, leading fans to believe the connection might not be coincidental.
There has also regularly been at least one Olympic athlete on the show each season, adding fuel to the rumors that Jordan could be it.
Dylan Efron, the younger brother of actor Zac Efron and Traitors champ, is also said to be joining the cast.
Based on a tip shared on gossip site Deux Moi, it seems there’s a good chance Dylan will return to the reality TV circuit.
Photos posted to Deux Moi’s Instagram page showed a man who looked like Dylan, covering his face with a visor and wearing a black silk robe while walking around the DWTS set.
