Apple is expected to launch its thinnest iPhone till date this year. The iPhone 17 series will feature a new model – the iPhone 17 Air – replacing the Plus variant. Although several leaks also suggest that it could be called the iPhone 17 Slim, there’s likely a chance that Apple might use the ‘Air’ moniker as it already has the MacBook Air in its portfolio.

According to leaks, the iPhone 17 Air will measure just about 5.5mm thick at its thinnest point – beating the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge that measures 5.8mm thick. The device will feature an elongated horizontal camera module on the rear, housing a single lens. It is expected to feature an Action Button and Camera Control button.

iPhone 17 Air is expected to sport a 6.6-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion technology. It will likely run on Apple’s A19 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM.

iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to get a single rear camera capped at 48MP resolution. On the front, it might feature a 24MP selfie shooter.

Several leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Air could be priced at $899 in the US and Rs 89,900 in India – which puts it in line with the iPhone 16 Plus.
