The European Business Software Company SAP has confirmed that It will invest more than 20,000 million euros in sovereign cloud in Europe throughout the next decade. According to the company, it will expand its sovereign cloud offer to include an infrastructure platform as a service that allows companies to access different computer services through their data centers network.
In addition, it will also implement a new “ON-SITE” option, which will allow customers to use infrastructure operated by SAP in their own data centers. With this, the company wants to ensure that customer data is stored in the European Union, to comply with the regulations on data protection, such as GDPR or general data protection regulation.
