This hidden YouTube TV deal is too good to miss — how to activate it now

Rising subscription costs and stricter password-sharing rules have made subscribing to the best streaming services pricier than ever. That’s why streaming discounts feel especially worthwhile in 2025, and YouTube TV has one for existing subscribers you won’t want to miss. That would be easy to do, too, considering this YouTube TV deal is hidden. Here’s where to find it.

For those looking to cut the cord, live TV streaming services like YouTube TV, Fubo TV, and DirecTV Stream are great replacements that work similarly to cable, including offering live channels presented in real time. However, those kinds of packages don’t come cheap. YouTube TV, which tops our ranking of the best cable TV alternatives, starts at $82.99 per month, though that does get you over 100 channels and handy features like multiview, unlimited cloud DVR, and the ability to watch three simultaneous streams at once.

As first spotted by 9to5Google, a Reddit user recently uncovered a new discount for active YouTube TV subscribers that brings the cost down to $49.99 a month — a $33 monthly savings — for two months. It’s the same discount currently being offered to new subscribers, but existing ones can get in on the savings too. You just have to know where to look.

YouTube hasn’t officially announced it, but you can check if you’re eligible for this YouTube TV deal by heading to your plan management page. Just follow these steps:

  1. Head to the YouTube TV website
  2. Click settings
  3. Under Membership, click Base Plan and then Manage
  4. Click the offer to activate a lower price for the next two months

If you’re having trouble finding this deal, the Reddit user suggested accessing the YouTube TV site on desktop instead of the app. The discount seems to be available for most YouTube TV subscribers, but some on Reddit noted that nothing appears in the management page of their account settings, which suggests the offer may have contingencies that aren’t apparent.

The deal comes as YouTube TV announced that Fox channels will remain on its platform. Roku also just announced a partnership with YouTube TV to bring its selection of live sports, including NFL games via NFL Sunday Ticket, to subscribers at no extra cost — just in time for the NFL season and the return of the NBA in October.
