Wang Teng, former general manager of Xiaomi’s China marketing division, on Monday denied online allegations that he leaked company secrets or accepted bribes, saying his departure stemmed from disciplinary violations rather than illegal conduct. Earlier reports claimed Wang was dismissed for serious violations, including leaking confidential company information and conflicts of interest. In a post on the Chinese social platform Weibo, Wang said he was ashamed of mistakes made during his tenure and accepted the consequences. “I am grateful to CEO Lei Jun and the company’s leadership for years of support and trust. I will continue to support Xiaomi and Redmi in the future,” he wrote. [Wang Teng’s Weibo, in Chinese]
