Apple TV+ set a new personal record for wins at the 2025 Emmy Awards, taking home 25 total trophies across its series. This was led by recognition for The Studio in the comedy categories, which won 13 awards including the top honors Best Comedy Series.
However, Apple was less successful on the drama side. Despite coming in to the night with a record-setting 27 nominations for Severance, HBO’s The Pitt ultimately clinched the Best Drama Series Emmy.
Severance did win two Emmys last night, for a total of 8 including last week’s Creative Arts wins. Britt Lower (Helly R.) won for Lead Actress in a Drama, and Tramell Tillman (Mr. Milchick) won for Supporting Actor in a Drama.
The Studio took home Best Comedy, an award Apple TV+ has previously won twice for Ted Lasso. Seth Rogen also won individually for lead actor in a comedy, as well as with his writing partner Evan Goldberg for best directing in a comedy series, and best writing. Ultimately, The Studio walked away from Emmys season with 13 total wins, more than any show across any category.
Additionally, director Adam Randall was recognised for best directing of a drama series for his work on Slow Horses.
In terms of performance by platform, Apple TV+ ranked third with 22 wins, a very strong result for a platform that has significantly less eligible titles to submit for consideration each year. Netflix and HBO tied for first with 30 wins each.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and SVP Eddy Cue were seen in attendance at the ceremony. Cook was thanked directly by Rogen for his support during The Studio’s winning speeches.
