WANT an iPhone 17? Well, you’re probably not alone. The brand-new gadget is finally out – and there are offers aplenty.

I’ve been trying out the four new iPhone models since last week’s Apple event and they’re a stellar lot. So I’ve scoured the web for loads of pay-monthly plans to see what’s on offer, and there are three deals I’d personally pick.

WHAT NEW IPHONE MODELS ARE OUT THIS YEAR?

If you’ve missed last week’s tech news, don’t worry.

There are four new Apple smartphones this year:

The iPhone 17 is the entry-level device and starts at £799.

Next up is the iPhone Air, which Apple is calling its thinnest-ever mobile. That’ll set you back £999.

After that come the Pro models, with the most powerful cameras and best battery life. But they come at a premium.

The iPhone 17 Pro with its 6.3-inch display costs £1,099, while the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at £1,199.

This year’s entry-level iPhone 17 is very impressive and will be more than enough for most people.

But the iPhone Air is the headline-grabber and looks strikingly thin, so you might want that to show off. It’s also useful if you jut want a thin and light iPhone to carry around.

And if you’re really into shooting pics and videos, or you just want the absolute best Apple mobile, the Pro models are for you. If your wallet can bear their cost.

THREE IPHONE DEALS WORTH CONSIDERING

I’ve picked out three iPhone deals that I think are worth looking at.

The first is for the iPhone 17 – that’s the entry-level model.

iPhone 17 (256GB), £38.99 a month

This particular deal gets you the phone with 100GB of 5G data on iD Mobile, which is owned by Currys.

That should be plenty of data for most people each month.

You’ll also get unlimited minutes and texts on a two-year contract.

The upfront fee is a paltry £9, and the monthly price is £38.99. Not bad for a brand new phone.

IPHONE SCREEN SIZES – A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

Here’s how iPhone screen sizes have changed over the years – as measured in inches diagonally from corner to corner…

  • iPhone (2007) – 3.5 inches
  • iPhone 3G (2008) – 3.5 inches
  • iPhone 3GS (2009) – 3.5 inches

The monthly price rises to £40.49 on April 1, 2026, and then to £41.99 from April 1, 2027.

Depending on when you start your contract, you’ll pay just north of £945.

That means you’re only paying £145 (or a little over) for the data, minutes, and texts for the two years.

There’s a good iPhone Air deal that comes with 512GB of storage. That’s more than the usual 256GB.

iPhone Air (512GB), £49.99 a month

This will cost you £129 upfront and £49.99 a month.

And you get 100GB of data, plus unlimited minutes and texts on a 24-month contract.

Finally, there’s a good deal on the iPhone 17 Pro with 1TB of storage.

iPhone 17 Pro (1TB), £55.99 a month

That’s a very generous amount of storage space, so you’ll find it very difficult to fill.

You get unlimited minutes and texts, but also unlimited 5G data with this deal.

The upfront fee is high at £425, but this is a Pro phone after all.

And then your monthly payments will be £55.99.

That’s a decent price for a high-storage version of the Pro phone.

All prices in this article were correct at the time of writing, but may have since changed.

Always do your own research before making any purchase.
