Just in time for next month’s Halloween celebrations, Marvel Zombies — an all-new animated miniseries — is set to bring some ghoulishly dark twists to the MCU on Disney Plus.
Set in the alternate timeline first introduced in What If…?, the story unfolds in a world where a virus from the Quantum Realm has infected most of Earth’s population, turning its heroes and citizens alike into flesh-hungry zombies. The recent release of the show’s trailer has provided a major talking point for Marvel fans, with Blade making his long-awaited MCU debut (albeit in animated form).
Mahershala Ali may not be voicing Blade in Marvel Zombies — that role goes to The Chicago Code star Todd Williams — but the series still boasts a star-studded cast of actors lending their voices. Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh and David Harbour are among the big names reprising their Marvel roles.
The four-episode series marks Marvel’s first real move into adult animation, with its bloody zombie-slaying action garnering a TV-MA certificate.
