Crowdstrike has reached an agreement to Buy the Pangea companydedicated to security for AI. With this operation, the Falcon Platform of Crowdstrike will expand its functions in detection and response with AI (AID), since it will allow protecting data, models, agents, identities, infrastructure and interactions.
With Pangea, Crowdstrike will apply the detection and response in Endpoints (EDR) to AI, unifying visibility, compliance and control of the business AI from its development to its use by the staff of the companies.
Falcon already offers the basis to protect the AI, since it ensures the environments and models where it is executed and prevents sensitive data from leaving endpoints or cloud workloads. In addition, says the AI agents throughout the software ecosystem as a service. With Pangea, the protection that Falcon already offers will be expanded to the critical interaction layer, where AI is built and use in the company. It will offer comprehensive protection throughout the AI life cycle, with the possibility of ensuring large -scale prompts and AI systems.
Among other things, it will have blocking of attacks by Prompt Injection, with protection against direct and indirect Prompts injection, Jailbreak attempts of malicious models and actors, with a low latency.
It also allows controlling the issues and conversations that users have with chatbots and generative AI systems, with visibility of traffic and AI activity. In addition, it incorporates governance policies to stop risky uses at the time. In addition, it facilitates the development of applications and AI agents with integrated security.
With the technology and functions of Pangea in Crowdstrike, security equipment can monitor and govern the AI developed in companies, complementing the protection of software agents as a service with Falcon Shield. On the other hand, it will offer protections ready to use that facilitate bringing new functions of AI faster, while keeping control.
George Kurtz, CEO and founder of Crowdstrikestressed that «the Ia is reconfiguring the business attack surface at a dizzying speed. Each prompt becomes an entry point for cybercriminals. With Pangea, Crowdstrike will ensure the entire AI life cycle, detecting risks, applying safeguards and guaranteeing regulatory compliance, so that our clients can create, deploy and climb with confidence and without risk”.
Oliver Friedrichs, CEO and founder of Pangearecalled that «Pangea was founded with the mission of making the adoption of AI be safe, offering companies the visibility and guides necessary to adopt AI with confidence. By joining Crowdstrike, we can realize this vision on a global scale, unifying the security at AI with the Falcon platform and creating the first complete detection and response platform in the industry of the industry”.
