Have you recovered from Amazon Prime Day yet? We’re still a little shell-shocked from the four-day bargain event and our extensive coverage. But guess what? In just three weeks, you can shop Amazon’s huge sales event for Q4, once again known as Prime Big Deal Days. Here are answers to all your questions about the annual autumnal mega sale.

What Is Amazon Prime’s Big Deal Days Sales Event?

Amazon runs a pair of major sales each year. Prime Day hits every summer and is Amazon’s yearly multi-day sale for members of Amazon’s Prime service. The company launched the event in 2015 as a celebration of Amazon’s 20th anniversary, and it’s grown into one of the retailer’s biggest events. 2025 marked the tenth year of Prime Day. They introduced Prime Big Deal Days in 2022 as the “Prime Early Access Sale” and renamed it the next year. It’s a great way to get a jump on holiday shopping, stock up on back-to-school staples, and splurge on hot products at deep discounts.

When Are Prime Big Deal Days in 2025?

Prime Big Deal Days start at 12:01 PDT the morning of October 7 and continue for 48 hours, ending when the clock strikes 11:59 p.m. on October 8th.

Is the Prime Big Deal Days Sale for Prime Members Only?

Absolutely not. To get the best deals on every possible product, you will need to be a Prime member. Amazon’s membership program is one of the best deals in e-commerce, giving you low prices, free shipping, and tons of other perks. If you haven’t tried it out, it’s free to try the service for 30 days, after which it’ll cost you $139 per year (or $14.99 per month). Once you’re signed up and logged in, the Amazon website and apps will display exclusive Prime prices and shipping options. If money is tight, you can certainly sign up for the free trial for Big Deal Days before October 7 and cancel later. If you do invest in a membership, we’ve got a list of Amazon Prime tips and tricks for deals, shipping, and more.

How Can I Get Amazon Prime for Free?

After that 30-day free trial wraps up, you’ll have to pay to enjoy the benefits of Amazon Prime. There are still easy ways to save on Amazon Prime, though, including student accounts for $7.49 a month and a discount program for EBT, SNAP, and Medicaid recipients at $6.99 a month. Both of those offer the same benefits. Amazon also has a half-price Young Adult Membership for members of Gen Z from ages 18-24.

What’s on Sale During the Prime Big Deal Days Sales Event?

We’d expect big discounts on tech products like laptops, monitors and tablets during the October sale. In fact, we’re already seeing some price drops in those categories, so why not shop early?

Fall sees a lot of laptop price drops thanks to back-to-school season, and if you’re in the hunt for a budget portable for school or light duty work tasks, the Acer Aspire 15 Slim will check off a lot of boxes. At just $300, this is a tremendous bargain, with a solid selection of ports, decent-sized screen and capable performance. In our review, we did knock it for having pretty slim onboard storage, but external SSDs are cheap. The keyboard feels fine, and the all-plastic construction is reasonably durable. This is a Chromebook price for a full Windows laptop.

We rated this the best gaming monitor on the market for esports in our best monitor collection, with ultra-low input lag of just 2.5 milliseconds, coupled with a blazingly fast 480Hz refresh rate that will push your graphics card to the limit. Even though the resolution tops out at 1440p, on a screen this size you can’t even tell, and for twitch action you won’t get better, especially at a 25% price cut. You can read our full review for all of the testing we put it through, but in short: spectacular color, great contrast, and impressive audio are all on board.
