Xiaomi has released a retro handheld game console-style protective case for its 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max smartphones. When paired with the phones’ rear display, the case turns the devices into retro-style handhelds. The case is made of PC+TPU material and connects via Bluetooth. It reproduces classic gamepad controls and supports playing titles such as Angry Birds 2 and Snake from the phone itself, which can also be enjoyed offline during flights or without a network connection. The accessory has a built-in 200mAh battery lasting up to 40 days and supports charging without removing the case, though wireless charging of the phone is disabled when installed.
