Keeping up with daily tasks can often feel like a chore. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I recently came across the Twos app, which gamifies the process and rewards you for staying on top of tasks.
Besides simplifying task management, Twos also supports note-taking and reminders to ensure you don’t have to juggle between multiple apps to manage your life.
Meet Twos: an app that pays you back
Get reward coins for various in-app activities

Twos is an all-in-one productivity app. It combines the functionality of a to-do list, reminder, and note-taking app in one place, eliminating the need to juggle between multiple apps to stay in control of your life.
Although Twos isn’t the only app following this approach, what makes it stand out from others is that it incentivizes engagement through its built-in coin rewards system. So, any time you create or complete to-dos, set reminders, or write notes in Twos, it rewards you with coins, which you can redeem for various in-app upgrades, such as templates, custom fonts, and plenty of AI-powered features.
Aside from creating new entries, you can earn reward coins for various other activities, including:
- Learning how to use different app features
- Moving a thing to a day or a list
- Starring a thing
- Bookmarking a list
- Maintaining streaks in daily usage
- Sharing content, lists, or templates with the Twos community
- Downloading the mobile app
- Inviting friends

How Twos simplifies daily life
Keep your notes, tasks, and reminders in one place

Everything in Twos flows from the Today screen, which is essentially a blank slate where you log all your notes, reminders, and to-dos for the day. If you have unfinished to-dos from the previous day, they automatically roll over to the next day’s screen, so you don’t miss or forget them.
This unified approach has two main benefits. First, it makes capturing what’s on your mind frictionless, as you don’t have to navigate different menus and screens to add notes, reminders, and to-dos separately. Second, it consolidates everything related to a day you want to know, ensuring nothing gets missed, and you get a clear picture of what’s on your agenda to stay on track.
Besides, Twos packs a couple of useful features to simplify various in-app tasks. For one, there’s support for Natural Language Processing (NLP), which enables you to enter tasks, reminders, and notes intuitively by typing or speaking normally. Thanks to it, you can write “Dinner tonight at 7 PM,” and Twos will ask you if you’d like to set a reminder for the same, saving you the need to do it manually.
Then, there’s Personal Active Lists (PALs), an AI-powered feature that offers relevant suggestions to make your entries more actionable. The way this works is that when you mention a product in a note or a to-do, the built-in AI scans the content and offers shopping links for it on e-commerce websites. Similarly, you may see a suggestion to add the event to your calendar when you mention it in a note or reminder.
Getting started and using Twos is easy
No learning curve means you can get things done faster

Twos follows a minimalist approach to its interface. By default, it opens on the Today tab, with a card for the specific day shown upfront—occupying most of the screen space—to facilitate quick entry and preview. You can change this behavior from the settings.
The app offers two more views: Home and World. While the former offers an overview of what your week looks like, with all your lists, upcoming reminders, and to-dos, the latter is where you can see lists, templates, coins, and more from other Twos users you follow. You can easily switch between views using the tab bar at the bottom. The app also features a sidebar, which allows you to quickly access your lists, calendar, to-do items, and starred items.
Twos provides a quick walkthrough the first time you open it, familiarizing you with everything you need to know to get started. Another considerable perk is that you can try it without even signing up for an account.
Twos is free and available on all major platforms
Syncs data across all devices and more—without any additional charges

Twos has a web version along with apps for all major desktop and mobile platforms. The best part? It supports offline use and automatic cross-platform syncing. So, you can create notes, tasks, reminders, and lists even when you’re offline, and they get synced automatically across all your devices as soon as you’re back online.
The app is also largely free to use. It follows the freemium model, which gives you access to most features for free while reserving others as optional paid upgrades for $2 each or 200 reward coins. There’s also a Twos Plus subscription, which provides full access to all the current and future upgrades. While it has three levels, they all offer the same perks. The base Twos Plus starts at $2 per month or $20 per year.
Twos targets a niche audience
It’s not suitable for complex workflows
Twos’ reward system makes staying organized feel more like a rewarding habit than a boring task. If you struggle to keep pace with daily life, give it a shot and see if it makes a difference. That said, if you seek complex workflows, Twos isn’t for you, as it lacks advanced options. You’re better off with dedicated note-taking apps and task management apps in that case.
